Things to Do at the Lake
From fishing at dawn to exploring the trails, there is always something to do at Tomiko Lake. Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, our 55 km lake and surrounding wilderness have it all.
Fishing
Fishing season runs Late May through Mid Sep. Tomiko Lake is known for walleye, pickerel, smallmouth bass, and pike.
We have a fish cleaning station on-site, so you can take your catch home. Best in June and September when the water is cooler.


Swimming
Swimming season runs July through September. A shallow, clear-water entry along the shore makes for easy access. The lake is clear, and safe for children with supervision.
Best in July and August when the water is warmest.
Boating and Water Sports
Kayaks available Late May through Mid Sep. Pontoon and boat rentals are available to lodge guests who want to explore further. The 55 km lake perimeter has plenty to discover.
Best in June through September.

ATV Trails
Good ATV trails on the logging roads around the lake. The surrounding forest is quiet and scenic, perfect for exploring by four-wheeler.
The forest is peaceful, scenic, and full of little surprises. Best in June through September.
Wildlife and Bird Viewing
Good year-round, but spring and fall are best for bird migration. The creeks and woods around the lake are home to birds, deer, moose, and bears.
Spring is especially quiet and beautiful as the lake becomes a sanctuary for migrating species.


Hunting
Hunting season runs September through October. The area is in Wildlife Management Area 41 and offers hunting for grouse and partridge, subject to provincial regulations and season dates.
